Mauricio Pincheira – Biography
Mauricio Pincheira is a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the automotive and energy sectors, including global operations, private equity, and corporate transformation. He currently leads the Automotive and Industrial business for The Chemico Group, a $200 million enterprise with 800 employees across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. In this role, he oversees full P&L responsibility and drives operational excellence for one of the largest minority-owned chemical management and distribution companies in North America.
Mauricio has previously held executive roles at General Motors, where he led large-scale manufacturing and corporate operations, and in the private equity sector, where he led North American operations for a global battery manufacturer and participated in M&A strategy and execution.
Deeply committed to community engagement, Mauricio supports underrepresented youth through STEM education initiatives and serves on the board of Just Cause, a nonprofit helping individuals transition from incarceration to productive citizenship. He is bilingual (English/Spanish) and has held leadership roles, including president of the SHPE Detroit Chapter, the GM Latino Network, and board-level involvement with the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation. In recognition of his contributions, he received the 2012 HACR Young Hispanic Corporate Achievers Award.
Mauricio holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and certifications as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
